#1 Dad

Hi there!

Today I'm playing along with a few challenges that I found to be inspiring.  Have you been to the new rose blossom garden challenge blog yet?  There's amazing artwork on there!  Check it out HERE!  Infact, their current challenge is using the Father's Day key on the Artiste cartridge.  The sketch I usesd is from Freshly Made Sketches.

I have to tell you I had so much fun making this card for a few reasons: 1) I'm loving the lime green and orange!  I knew I wanted to use pear and I 'paired' it up with scraps from Buzz and Bumble and Dream Pop, 2) I was able to make a 'manly' card.  Seems that I don't do that enough.  The #1 Dad sentiment was cut from the Artiste cartridge and you can't tell, but there is an orange pocket behind it too.  I wanted to bring out the orange.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!  I'm off to pack for a vacation.  :)
