Thank You Candy Boxes

Hello there!

It's been a while since I last posted! I've been busy crafting though!  Tonight I thought I'd share the thank you boxes I made for the teachers at our church's awana's program.  There were a total of 8 (4 for each of my kids classes).  The awana's program at our church is awesome and we are so happy that our kids are learning about our savior!  We appreciate the teachers! It amazes me that even tho chloe is in the nursery (puggles), she recognizes the song, Jesus Loves Me and knows when we pray.  Beau tells us all about what he has learned that night while also telling us how much fun he had! AND I know he isn't making up what he has learned lol
The boxes were filled with chocolate and the kids colored 3x3 cards.

I'll be back later to share the 75 cupcake toppers made for our churches graduation dinner.

Have a good night :)

PS- Spring is FINALLY here in MN! :)

SOUS Happy Birthday!

New sketch up at Stuck on U Sketches!  We'd love for you to play along!  Check it out HERE!

For my card, I used the Grid Technique. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up! collection I had on hand.  The flourishes are from ctmh's "The Present."

Hope to see you over at SOUS!

Wonderful Friend

I'm loving the colors over at The Playdate Cafe!!
Once again, I dug thru my scrap bin :)

The Claire embellies matched perfect as well as the Chevron ribbon.  Chevron....another favorite of mine! :)

My card was based off the sketch at Deconstructed Sketches.

Inspired By....

The photo over at Inspired By is so fresh looking so I had to make a card :)

I went with the color, flowers, strips and since it is Autism awareness month, I used a special sentiment.  I love the flowers in the picture and I had the perfect stampset for it.

Here is the sketch I used from CAS Colours and Sketches.

Note to self....

A quick card to share with you....  This is my third post of the day.  No, I haven't actually made 3 cards this morning, just scheduled them on the wrong dates :)

I really wanted to play along with Sarah Stone's Color my Heart . The challenge is to use one color, Juniper.  Sounds easy enough right?  Well, it wasn't for me! ha!

I went with the CAS look and used the sketch at Case this Sketch:

Washi tape....I LOVE it!  I hope CTMH comes out with more! The sentiments are from the Whooo's Your Valentine kit and It's Your Day constant campain from last year.

PUN FUN with oldies but goodies....

Scraps, scraps and more scraps!  I have TONs of them!  This card was made with CTMH's retired Mayberry collection.  This was one of my favorites....oh who am I kidding, I say that about every paperpack!  lol

A challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to have some Pun Fun!  So, I mixed it up with the sketch at
Mojo Monday and this is the 'Pun' card:

CTMH Stampsets Used: (all retired)
It's a Zoo
A Typeface
A Little Everything

Fun with Bargello

Bargello is such a cool technique!  Have you ever tried it?  While blog surfing a while ago I came across it and wanted to try it.  You can check out all the deets Here at Technique Tuesday.

I used 5 pieces of scrap paper for the bargello and cut each strip 1/2 inch.  The sentiment is from the stamp set "A Rainbow" (CTMH) which is now retired.  If you try this technique, make sure you use STRONG adhesive!  I used ctmh's liquid glass. Oh and all paper used in this is ctmh paper.  A little fanfare and chantilly...

Linking my card up at Heart 2 Heart- Raindrops Keep Falling

One more card....

I thought I'd post one more card I made today.  This one was very quick to make!  I based the colors off of Dynamic Duos and design off of CAS-ual Fridays- Chevron and Flowers.

I'm off to tuck my littlest munchkin in....we'll see how it goes. It's her first night in her new toddler bed.  (She's a climber)

School Colors RB Challenge- Congratulations

Hello there!!  Rose Blossoms leader Brenda Rose has challenged the team to make a card using your school colors.  My school colors were red and white and I added black as my neutral.  Inspiration for this card also came from Stacey's Scrap Corner.  I thought it made an elegant wedding card or who knows, maybe a graduation card! :)

I was excited to used the distressed background stampset.  The sentiment came from For Every Occasion.  The red paper is a scrap from Jingle, a retired paperpack, and I cut the petals with the Artiste circut cartridge.  Funny, making this card did bring back some fun high school memories....danceline, fast pitch, friends, prom, football games....all that fun stuff!  Go Cards!  (Coon Rapids Cardinals!)

Here she is:

Thank you for stopping by!  It means a lot to me and I love hearing your comments!

Have a great night!

CAS-Smile

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a clean and simple card I made with the 'Dream Big' stamp set from ctmh.  There are so many cute little stamps in this set!  The background is stamped in Noted Backgrounds with White Daisy ink.

Once again, I dug thru my scrap bin and found a piece of Chantilly (love that pack!).  Sadly, I'm down to only a few pieces left now.

Here is my card:

The 'thinking of you' sentiment was found in my stash.  I believe it's from Jillibean Soup- it just needed to be on this card :)

I know the perfect friend to send this 'springy' card to....

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!

Hi again!  This is my 2nd post today.  Scroll down to see the first post.

My kids are napping after a very fun morning so I thought I'd play along with a few challenges. (then I will be napping too hehe)

Have you heard of the new Rose Blossom Garden Challenge Blog?  You should check it out!  The blog has challenges using the ctmh circut cartridges and I'd like to mention these lovely and talented ladies are fellow ctmh sisters.  I wanted to play along in their first ever challenge which is challenge using the 'Happy Birthday' key on the Artiste cartridge- page 70.  The sketch I used was from Freshly Made Sketches and the color combo is from Color My Heart- use Blush, Hollyhock, Outdoor Denim and Sunset (all ctmh colors).

Here is my creation:

Claire was the perfect fit for the color combo- not to mention that I love this paperpack!  You can't tell in the picture but the chevron ribbon has been inked with Blush to give it a different look.  I didn't use any stamps on this card, only the Happy Birthday and cloud cut from the Artiste cartridge.  Sure was fun to combine these challenges.  If you get a chance, remember to stop over at the Rose Blossoms Garden.  They are giving away a stampset to the winner and you will really enjoy the dt creations.

Have a great rest of your day!

Hello!

 Hello!
Today I'm sharing the new challenge sketch that is up at SOUS.  Check it out HERE!  The team would love to see you play along!

Here is the fun sketch:

And here is my take:

This card was fun to make!  Claire (ctmh) is such a fun paperpack- there are a lot of great colors in this pack. AND while creating this card, I wasn't planning on using the bird but I couldn't resist once I saw it was included in the Art Philosophy circut cartridge.  There are so many imagines in that cartridge!

Supplies used:
Claire paperpack
Hello Blooms stampset
Dream Big Occasions stampset (a little birdie told me)
Claire Assortment
Bakers twine
Outdoor Denim ink
Hollyhock ink
White Daisy ink- mixed with the hollyhock
Sparkle- bird's eye
Art Philosophy

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Celebrate

Hi there!  It's a beautiful sunny day here in MN.  A little chilly still, but the sunshine and blue sky is awesome!  I think spring is finally on it's way here!!  yay!

Today I'm playing along with Dynamic Duos.
Join in on the fun!  Here are the colors:

Here is my take:

Vicki Wizniuk posted such a beautiful card- check it out by clicking on her name.  I had to try out her technique of using ink on the For Always paper to make the patterned paper stand out more by giving it a bold look.  I used hollyhock ink, the perfect fit birthday stamp set and perfect fit frames 2 stamp set.

Have a wonderful day!  Thank you for stopping by!
