You're a Ray of Sunshine

Hi there!

My son and I have been having at night what he calls "Ark Class."  (He really pronounces it Ark, it's not a typo :)) I moved my circut to the kitchen table and we work for about a half hour each night.  It's great.  He loves it because it's been our special time together after chloe goes to bed and I love seeing his excitement.  We have been slowly working on a little mini album for our favorite summer photos.  I will share it soon.

Tonight, we made a card.  He gets excited because I let him push all the buttons on the circut and he gets to ink up the stamps.

I found a couple of blogs that had great inspiration:

1.  Rose Blossom Garden- use the Artiste circut cartridge and an image from the letter G.
2.  Retrosketches

I cut two images of the sun and cut them so I could alternate the paper from Surf's Up.  This really is a fun paperpack.  Was not my favorite when I first saw it but I've been having so much fun creating with it!  I completed a workshop created by Brenda Rose and also completed the Workshop on the Go.  There was enough paper left over to add to the mini album beau and I are working on.  The stamp set used is from Patterned Pennants (ctmh).

Here is the sketch used:

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a great week and stop by these beautiful blogs for some inspiration!

  1. What a happy card! I love it!! Makes me feel like summer is still here (even though next week is back to school for me). I love the airy feel of that wide white border and the blue water print paper.

  5. Hey Small Town Girl! Nice to see you at the Rose Garden ... super cute card. Like how you rounded the two corners on the B&T ... really adds to an already fab card. Hope you're enjoying summer!

  7. What a great idea. I love to create with my kids. know it is like pulling teeth to get them to create something with me. Some days I do have to admit I even beg. Love this card. It is perfect.
